Good afternoon,
I appreciate your interest in my professional teaching skills and knowledge, and would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little more about myself.
My family and I moved to Texas from Kansas 10 years ago, and quickly fell in love with this state. I live with my husband of 19 years and our four sons, ages 18, 15, 12 and 10. I enjoy cooking, reading, gardening, sewing, and community involvement, but most of all I enjoy providing a safe, warm, and healthy environment in which my family can thrive. I also have interest in politics and economics, and have been blessed with the opportunity to travel extensively, visiting many countries and traveling throughout the United States. Now, I look forward to fulfilling another passion of mine, teaching. I love interacting with children of all ages, and feel called to teach children at any grade level.
In May of this year, I will graduate from Texas Woman’s University and the College of Professional Education, with Cum Laude honors, and receive a Bachelors of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences, with a minor in Education. I have completed both my Family and Consumer Sciences 6-12 composite content and Pedagogy test requirements, and will test for my Generalist EC-6, Business, and Marketing certifications immediately upon graduation. At that point, I will be fully prepared to teach all Family and Consumer Sciences, Business, Marketing, and Early Childhood through 6th grade classes.
